For years, I’ve wanted to visit Santa Fe which is officially nicknamed “The City Different.” Known for its adobe architecture and art, Santa Fe is described as a fascinating blend of Native America, Old Spain & the Wild West. Right away, I knew I wanted to stay in the heart of downtown and began researching hotels.
I got stuck and couldn’t make the trip because I had Covid three weeks prior and wasn’t thinking about Hawaii’s Recovery Exemption Waiver at the time. Even though I was no longer sick, hadn’t had symptoms for a week and was back to school, Hawaii did not care. You see, while the rest of the world has been relaxing their restrictions, Hawaii has made their Recovery Exemption Waiver even stricter by adding a day and limiting the tests you can have. Meanwhile, Jamie arrived at The Westin Maui Resort and Spa, Ka’anapali and was quickly told she had to be quarantine for 5 days, even though she was cleared by the airport and had a negative Covid-19 test in hand.
You’re thinking of heading over to Maui and you heard Hilton Grand Vacations has a new property that just opened. I’ve been and I’m going to tell you all about it. There are construction workers, construction materials and machines, tarps for walls and partially constructed buildings on the property. Maui Bay Villas is a resort under construction. I can’t emphasize this enough.
Our bodies feel and react to every thought that flashes through our mind. Like a waterfall, when we have a thought, that thought flows straight down to our body below. Our body then reacts to that input accordingly. Our mind only knows the limits we create. We can choose our thoughts. We can create a mindset our bodies will not only love us for but one that will assist us in taking greater care of ourselves, both inside and out. Elevate your mind. Elevate your life.
I put myself back on the dating sites, and this time matched with a guy I met on Bumble. Bumble is an app where women make the first move writing a message if you match with someone. The app said he was located about a mile away. Turns out, he had been living in a condo literally right behind my childhood home for the last ten years. I couldn’t believe we’d never met. Seemed like the perfect match. Best time to find someone local! You know: “Stay closer to home.”
As time goes on and vaccines begin helping us get back to some of the socializing we once knew, I begin to think about some of the possible changes we’ll be making. I know in the not-so-distant future, it will be back to the old grind. I’ve been wondering how my pets will react to me being out of the house once I return to the workforce.
Before the pandemic, I set off to find love with a man in England that I had been talking to online for several months. My visit was supposed to last two weeks, but a week in the world began to lockdown and I became stuck in quarantine with him for nearly six months. A very long six months.

Travel to Mexico is much like travel within the United States. At the airport, you turn in a Health Form detailing your recent travels & answer questions regarding potential Covid exposure. Masks are required everywhere you go unless you are eating and/or drinking, exercising, or at the pool.
My journey outside of the United States during the Covid-19 lockdown started jus at the end of February. I flew from Los Angeles to an industrial town between Manchester and Leeds in England. I was finally on my way to meet Tim. A guy I met on OK Cupid in 2019. I planned to stay two weeks and ended up stuck for six months.
I’m a day hiker & chose Horse Camp Trail. It was a great, solid hike up to the historic Shasta Alpine Lodge. The views are gorgeous! Horse Camp Trail is about 3.5 miles roundtrip. If you’re up for more adventure, rest up & plan your way to the summit. No matter your experience level, whether it be hiking or photography, you can’t go wrong with the landscape of Mt. Shasta.
